Air Jordan 1 Mid Crater Appears With "University Blue" Accents

Given that Jordan Brand is under the Nike umbrella, it naturally will align with some of the Swoosh’s ongoing initiatives and commitments to manufacturing more sustainable products. And to join in on the Swoosh’s “Move to Zero” program, Michael Jordan‘s imprint has generated new silhouettes that are crafted with earth-friendly materials, one being the Air Jordan 1 Mid Crater which has now just revealed its forthcoming “University Blue” colorway.

This colorway isn’t officially associated with UNC — the six-time champion’s alma mater — but its color schemes definitely gives off some Tar Heel nation spirit. Canvas serves as the focal material for this impending iteration as it forms the forefoot and lower overlays, quarter panels, collars and the ball-and-wings patches, all of which are backdropped in a muted gray and come detailed with multi-colored hits. An even lighter gray serves as the secondary color here as it drops off on the suede ankle flaps and toe boxes while “University Blue” notes are sprinkled to the tongue’s Jumpman logos, interior lining and the exposed zig zag stitches that start mid-way through the Swooshes and run towards the heel. Additionally, NikeGrind crater patterns adorn the Swooshes and outsoles to express its sustainable intentions.
